Affective factors influencing students’ second language acquisition during the war

چکیده

The article focuses on the impact of affective factors second language acquisition during Russia-Ukraine war and it has Ukrainian education system. study aims to investigate how emotions such as anxiety, stress, depression learning identify tools for educators measure filters students. is based Krashen's Affective Filter Hypothesis adopts a qualitative phenomenological design. data was collected from 32 Bachelor students at Taras Shevchenko National University Kyiv through an online multidimensional Anxiety-Stress-Depression Test open-ended questions. results indicate that students’ emotional state, increased levels significant their performance reduces cognitive resources focus learning. highlights importance considering in teaching role teachers creating supportive collaborative environment reduce anxiety promote self-efficacy. conclusion emphasizes complexity uniqueness each student’s experience need appropriate supports mitigate effects adversity positive potential.
